Let me introduce you to this Baobab Coconut Smoothie which is as flavoursome, as it is creamy. You will only need 5 ingredients, and five minutes of your time. Just blend and go. What’s not to love? It’s also sugar-free and packed with antioxidants. Hardly surprising given Baobab’s superfood nutritional profile (1).
I was pleasantly surprised (although I was expecting it) that this smoothie tasted soooo good. I used unsweetened almond milk, which lent a bit more than a hint of nuttiness to the smoothie. The date syrup added a natural sweetness which complemented the tangy taste of Baobab. And the banana made it oh-so-creamy!
This Baobab Coconut Smoothie is now here to stay in my life, and is my current go-to smoothie. Feel free to experiment with this smoothie recipe. If you are not a big fan of almond milk, use greek yoghurt for a thicker consistency (which is oh-so-yum!), or coconut milk.
